Beating Big Oil in AD 30
When a shady Big-Oil-funded PAC put more than $400k into ads against Robert Rivas, our coalition of labor, environmental and consumer groups took the fight right to them. AD 30 sits on the coast, and was home to California’s first voter-passed fracking ban in 2014. With an an integrated mail and digital program, we were clear and bold in telling voters the truth, and the results bore us out: Rivas easily made it through the primary, nearly tripling the vote share of the closest Democrat.
